I SAVED MY CANARY THANKS TO THIS SITE.

MY CANARY HAD BEEN IN A LONG, LONG, SOFT MOLT AND BECAME SICK.

I WENT TO THE INTERNET, THIS SITE, AND USED A HEATING PAD ON TOP OF CAGE, USED DARK COVER OVER CAGE AT DUSK, AND GOT UP AT DAWN TO UNCOVER (MOLT STOPPED!!).

ALSO USED LIGHT AT NIGHT ON OUTSIDE OF COVER FOR EXTRA WARMTH.

THEN FED SOAK SEED, RAPE SEED...BOILED...AND ADDED VITAMINS TO WATER AND ADDED MOLTING CONDITIONER FEED TO THE REGULAR SEED. IT ALSO HAD PROBIOTICS IN THE FORMULA.

HE WAS A GONER, NOW HE'S BACK AND GETTING HIS ENERGY BACK. A BEAUTIFUL SINGER WHICH I AM ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

(IS THE WHEAT OR SUNFLOWER SEED TOO LARGE FOR CANARIES???)

Saved Molting Canary

That's great news, Ruth. Glad to hear it!

Hulled wheat that is soaked until soft and sprouted is good for canaries.

And shelled sunflower seeds are good too.

Keep up the great work.
